In my lifetime
I've tolerated more than I could take
I’ve given more than I've received
I've been there more than those who were supposed to be there for me
I’ve chased love
I've been down and to a better place
I've let certain things go in lust of a better taste
I've watched time pass by moving at a slower pace I've chased
Pleasure
I've made others take a loss for my gain
I've gained at the cost of someone else's pain
I’ve been an active student of the game
I’ve chased wealth
In my lifetime I've realized
That there is more wants than needs people are facing
And sometimes what we already have is what we aren’t embracing
I understand that every last person in this world has desires
But I also understand, that only a few are worth chasing

He tolerado más de lo que podría soportar
He dado más de lo que he recibido
He estado allí más que aquellos que se suponía que estaban ahí para mí
He perseguido el amor
He estado abajo y a un lugar mejor
He dejado ciertas cosas ir en lujuria de un mejor gusto
He visto pasar el tiempo moviéndose a un ritmo más lento que he perseguido
Es un placer
He hecho que otros se pierdan por mi ganancia
He ganado a costa del dolor de otra persona
He sido un estudiante activo del juego
He perseguido la riqueza
En mi vida me he dado cuenta
Que hay más necesidades que necesidades que la gente se enfrenta
Y a veces lo que ya tenemos es lo que no estamos abrazando
Entiendo que cada última persona en este mundo tiene deseos
Pero también entiendo, que sólo unos pocos valen la pena perseguir
