Atomic Threat
A gentle breeze refreshes the hot summer air,
Lets rustle leaves and tousle hair.
But the wind brings the dread,
The invisible horror.
Soon all life will be dead,
Nightmare of terror.
Unsuspecting population,
Suspense rules and sorrow.
Times of infection
And atrocity will follow.
Cause of the bad scenery
Is some escaped radioactivity.
Released by an accident
In a nuclear power station,
Or escaped by
Atomic waste transportation,
The cloud of torment
Covers the wholy nation.
All percautions useless,
Every warning too late;
Attempts of cover up fruitless,
Too big is the fate.
No more day without pain,
Radiation comes with every blast;
No more walking in the rain,
Normal life is past.
Chaos - helplessness
Flight - emptiness
Contamination - illness
Torture - death.
Again it blows a breath of air,
No rustling leaves, no tousling hair.

Amenaza Atómica
Una suave brisa refresca el aire caliente del verano,
Hace susurrar las hojas y despeina el cabello.
Pero el viento trae el temor,
El horror invisible.
Pronto toda vida estará muerta,
Pesadilla de terror.

La incertidumbre gobierna y la tristeza.

Y atrocidad seguirán.
La causa del mal paisaje
Es algo de radioactividad escapada.
Liberada por un accidente
En una central nuclear,
O escapada por
El transporte de desechos atómicos,
La nube de tormento
Cubre toda la nación.

Cada advertencia demasiado tarde;
Intentos de encubrimiento infructuosos,
Demasiado grande es el destino.
No más días sin dolor,
La radiación viene con cada explosión;
No más paseos bajo la lluvia,
La vida normal es cosa del pasado.
Caos - impotencia
Huida - vacío
Contaminación - enfermedad
Tortura - muerte.
Otra vez sopla una bocanada de aire,
Sin susurro de hojas, sin despeinar el cabello.
