Border Road

Border Road

He's following the border road
Driving up the highway looking for the sea
The streams sing to him along the hillsides
And the snowy peaks watch him pass by

He's crossing the mountain range again
From Argentina to Chile without resting
When he arrives in his land, there they wait for him
His partner and the sweet home

Singing he goes
Carrying a joyful heart
Singing he goes
To the wind with his song
Andean he is
Through the mountains where he was born

When he's not there, he suffers sorrow
At night the Moon follows his trail
Illuminating his dreams of freedom
His good star accompanies him again
Thanking her with his singing
He greets the morning star
The guanacos and llamas frolic
He's free like the wind through the canyons
That come and go, that come and go

Singing he goes
Carrying a joyful heart
Singing he goes
To the wind with his song
Andean he is
Through the mountains where he was born
When he's not there, he suffers sorrow
