El principio
Comenzando desde El Principio,
Vine A Los Estados Unidos,
Eramos siete,
Bueno.. menos mi jefe,
No supo ser so mi jefa le dijo vete,
Mis hermanos y mi carnala nadie supo nada,
Mi jefa la que lloraba,
Sin tener idea ibamos a clases,
Extranjero hasta la madre haciendo pases,
Gente desconocida,
You can take me out the hood,
But you can't take the hood out me,
'Cause I'm 'a be where I come from,
'Cause I'm 'a be where I come from, si!
You can take me out the hood,
But you can't take the hood out me,
'Cause I'm 'a be where I come from,
'Cause I'm 'a be where I come from, si
Y no importa donde me encuentre,
Siempre me acuerdo de 'onde vengo,
Pura raza mexicana.. 100%
No soy politico tampoco menso,
You can take me out the hood,
But you can't take the hood out me,
'Cause I'm 'a be where I come from,
'Cause I'm 'a be where I come from, si
The Beginning
Starting from the beginning,
I came to the United States,
As a recognized wetback,
There we gathered,
The few of us who passed through suffering hunger,
Recognize my benefit,
At the age of five living in a building,
In a simple apartment,
Lost like a hare in the snow,
We were seven,
Well.. except for my boss,
He didn't know how so my boss told him to leave,
My brothers and my sister knew nothing,
My mother was the one who cried,
Without any idea we went to classes,
Foreigner to the core making moves,
Unknown people,
Speaking in another language, honestly I would have,
Not the slightest idea what it's about,
Forced to learn without knowing what I lack,
One or two extended a hand to me,
Countryman, we stood out like a grain,
You can take me out the hood,
But you can't take the hood out me,
'Cause I'm 'a be where I come from,
'Cause I'm 'a be where I come from, yes!
Living a lie, ashamed, confused,
And I haven't understood that here everyone,
Seems to be countrymen,
Mistaken, they are all strangers,
Thinking that it was the same for everyone,
Eating tortilla tacos with salt,
I feel alone in the dark,
The more I learn the more I torture,
To copy to be like everyone else,
Telling lies that my mother doesn't take the bus,
I hide the truth,
And little by little I realize that everything is normal,
In the house a different story,
It may be that we are even relatives,
Because those born here think they're Americans,
And humiliated I am for being from the ranch,
You can take me out the hood,
But you can't take the hood out me,
'Cause I'm 'a be where I come from,
'Cause I'm 'a be where I come from, yes
And no matter where I am,
I always remember where I come from,
Pure Mexican race.. 100%
They ask me who I am,
Where I come from,
With two languages,
What do I pretend,
Starting the hustles,
Taking advantage and sharp like cacti,
I don't complain, this is my damn life,
Like my mother looking for a way out,
I'm not a politician nor a fool,
They've wanted to kick us out from the beginning,
Regretful because my personality is a deception,
And year after year goes by without thinking once,
That I'm living a life in reverse,
And the ignorant part leaves me,
I sent the false life to hell in an instant,
They can take me out of the ranch in steps,
But to me, they won't take the ranch away even with blows
You can take me out the hood,
But you can't take the hood out me,
'Cause I'm 'a be where I come from,
'Cause I'm 'a be where I come from, yes
