Prodigal Son

Papi guerra mami cultura pop

Y no sabe qué ver

Y no sabe qué hacer
Le sobra experiencia
Pero no pasa de nivel

Papi guerra mami cultura pop

Prodigal Son

Ouch, ouch!
Ouch, ouch!

Dad’s a warrior, mom’s pop culture
The prodigal son awaited by globalization
Here he comes with his opinion, always ready to argue about the end of Game of Thrones

The pizza's getting cold
And he doesn’t know what to watch
Any company
Exhausts him after a while

Dad’s absent, mom can’t stop
Tuesdays he goes to therapy and when he leaves he says he feels a bit better
You might run into him, but watch what you say because he’s easy to offend

And today he doesn’t feel like thinking
But he’s gonna do it anyway
While staring at the screen
Half here, half there
He’s not really anywhere

And he’s all over the city
In the chat at the bar
At the university
In the popular shout and in your home

The machines will come
They’ll conquer us
But they won’t do it with torture and violence
But with apathy and sadness

Ouch, ouch!

He’s out looking for a pop idol
That morally aligns and reaffirms his sense of self
I don’t know if that’s good
But if he doesn’t like something, he’ll be the first to throw the stone

Days go by
And he doesn’t know what to do
He’s got plenty of experience
But he can’t level up

Dad’s a warrior, mom’s pop culture
The prodigal son awaited by globalization
Here they come in droves
Each has their story but it’s really the same old song

That one that talks about a love that was lost one day
About life and death
And about dissatisfaction
That doesn’t fit anywhere

And he’s all over the city
In the way you look
It’s not that he wants to criticize
It’s not that there’s something better
But it’s tiring

The machines will eventually leave
They’ll abandon us
They’ll get tired of us blaming them
For the sadness that’s always been ours

Ouch, ouch!
Ouch, ouch!
Ouch, ouch!
Ouch, ouch!
