Desde muy pequeño me dijeron que tú eras el dueño
Del oro y de la plata y que se cumplían los sueños
De los que te conocían y profesaban tu nombre
Que eras todo aquello que necesitaba el hombre
También me dijeron que cuando alguien enfermaba
Nada como la oración en tu poder todo sanaba
Y aunque estabas invisible nada era imposible
Que bastaba tener fe y todo se hacía posible
Y luego te conocí y comprobé que eras real
Lo que habían dicho estaba bien no estaba mal
Que prosperas que levantas y que sanas al enfermo
Pero hay cosas que contemplo en las noches mientras me duermo
Por ejemplo lo que siento desde que yo me consagro
Lo sigo sintiendo me hagas o no me hagas un milagro
Lo que siento lo conoces mis palabras son sinceras
Que te adoro en la escasez o en la abundancia financiera
Yo no puse condiciones para empezar a seguirte
Me basto la cruz y todo lo que por mí ahí hiciste
No te sigo por lo que puedas hacer
Sino por lo que hiciste en el calvario y en eso quiero creer
Que seguirte por los beneficios eso me entristece

En ocasiones cuando tu repuesta para mí fue un no
Como un padre me cuidas me suples hasta me sostienes
Como padre que sabe lo que a su hijo le conviene
Donde estaba yo cuando creaste todo sin defecto
Jamás podría dudar del plan que tienes que es perfecto
Aunque no entienda el porqué de las pruebas y desafíos
Pues tus pensamientos siempre son más altos que los míos
Que si voy a una cruzada pero no me pasa nada

I Believe
From a very young age they told me that you were the owner

Following you for the benefits saddens me

I follow you not because you healed me or made me prosper
I follow you, Jesus, because you saved me
For what happened on the cross

For the blood shed
Even though I was nothing

I shouldn't worship you depending on my situation
I should do it at all times, hour, day, or occasion
I shouldn't seek you just for generating benefits
But because I appreciate the end of that sacrifice
You are God, the sovereign who rules, that's what I believe
Not that genie in the lamp who grants wishes
You already know everything and choose what's best for me
You don't grant whims that anyone might fancy
And forgive me if one day I question you in my mind
Sometimes when your answer to me was no
Like a father, you care for me, supply me, even sustain me
Like a father who knows what's best for his child
Where was I when you created everything without flaw
I could never doubt the perfect plan you have
Even if I don't understand the why of trials and challenges
