Al principio de los tiempos dios
creó cielos y tierra
dijo dios: "hágase la luz"
y la luz se hizo y la llamó
día y las tinieblas noche
y en la noche estaba yo
Luego dijo dios:
"estará mejor
si creo el firmamento
las estrellas y algún sol"
Dijo luego dios:
"tiene que crecer quiero ver crecer
la hierba verde y verdes árboles"
Y creó al hombre
también a la mujer
a su imagen semejanza
creó al hombre
también a la mujer
los dos por igual
y creó al hombre
también a la mujer
"llenad la tierra y sometedla"
creó a los dos
igual
Y así fue como lo hizo dios
llegó el séptimo día
cuando al fin el descansó
vió que todo allí estaba bien
pero vió al hombre triste
¿por qué triste y sin amor?
Entonces dijo dios
"duérmete varón"
tomando una costilla una compañera vió
El hombre exclamó
"esto si que es carne de mi carne
huesos de mis huesos ahora soy feliz"
Y creó al hombre
Genesis
In the beginning of time, God
created the heavens and the earth.
God said, "Let there be light,"
and light was made, and He called it
Day, and the darkness Night.
And in the night, there I was.
Then God said:
"It'll be better
if I create the firmament,
the stars, and some sun."
Then God said:
"It has to grow, I want to see it grow,
the green grass and green trees."
And He created man,
also woman,
in His image and likeness.
He created man,
also woman,
both equally.
And He created man,
also woman.
"Fill the earth and subdue it,"
He created both,
equal.
And that's how God did it.
The seventh day came,
when at last He rested.
He saw that everything was good,
but He saw man was sad.
"Why so sad and without love?"
Then God said,
"Sleep, man,"
taking a rib, He saw a companion.
The man exclaimed,
"This is indeed bone of my bone,
flesh of my flesh; now I'm happy."
And He created man.
