Ruler of all nature,
O Thou of God and man the Son,

Than Thou, my Savior, art to me.

O Du, Sohn Gottes und der Menschen,

Du, der Ruhm, die Freude und die Krone meiner Seele.
Schön sind die Wiesen, noch schöner die Wälder,
Gekleidet im blühenden Gewand des Frühlings;
Jesus ist schöner, Jesus ist reiner,
Der das betrübte Herz zum Singen bringt.
Schön ist der Sonnenschein,
Noch schöner der Mondschein,

Aller schönste Schönheit, himmlisch und irdisch,
