O Violão
Um dia eu vi numa estrada
Um arvoredo caído
Não era um tronco qualquer
Era madera de pinho
E um artesão esculpia
O corpo de uma mulher
Depois eu vi pela noite
O artesão nos caminhos
Colhendo raios de Lua
Fazia cordas de prata
Que se esticadas, vibrvam
O corpo da mulher nua
E o artesão finalmente
Nesta mulher de madeira
Botou o seu coração
E lhe apertou contra o peito
E deu-lhe um nome bonito
E assim nasceu o violão
The Guitar
One day I saw on a road
A fallen grove
It wasn't just any trunk
It was pine wood
And a craftsman was carving
The body of a woman
Then I saw at night
The craftsman on the paths
Gathering moonbeams
He made strings of silver
That when stretched, vibrated
The body of the naked woman
And the craftsman finally
In this wooden woman
Put his heart
And pressed it against his chest
And gave her a beautiful name
And that's how the guitar was born
