Fight Another Day
A day of fire when the invaders came
The world we knew lies ruined and defamed
Half of us gone in the very first wave
Our efforts focus on the few that we can save
We look into the sky and wonder
Will we ever find our way?
Eyes staring back in disbelief
Into darkness we will fade
Out of the shelters and in to the night
Race for the skies we’re gone before the light
Nothing is left and there’s no time to grieve
Endangered species makes ready to leave
What lies beyond the end of everything?
Can we go on in spite of all the pain?
For now we run until we find a way
Mankind it will survive to fight another day
In a flash of light we fly to meet the stars
Earth not among them
Now behind so far
A blackened silence replaces every day
Funeral shroud for the mother we betray
Will our earth be a distant memory?
And our children be just a fantasy

Un día de fuego cuando llegaron los invasores
El mundo que conocíamos yacía arruinado y difamado
La mitad de nosotros se fue en la primera ola
Nuestros esfuerzos se centran en los pocos que podemos salvar
Miramos al cielo y nos preguntamos
¿Encontraremos alguna vez nuestro camino?
Ojos mirando de vuelta incrédulos
En la oscuridad nos desvaneceremos
Fuera de los refugios y hacia la noche
Corremos hacia los cielos, nos vamos antes de la luz
No queda nada y no hay tiempo para lamentarse
Las especies en peligro se preparan para partir
¿Qué yace más allá del fin de todo?
¿Podremos seguir adelante a pesar de todo el dolor?
Por ahora corremos hasta encontrar un camino
La humanidad sobrevivirá para luchar otro día
En un destello de luz volamos para encontrarnos con las estrellas
La Tierra no está entre ellas
Ahora tan lejos atrás
Un silencio ennegrecido reemplaza cada día
Un sudario fúnebre para la madre que traicionamos
¿Será nuestra Tierra un recuerdo lejano?
¿Y nuestros hijos solo una fantasía?
