The Man Who Scaled Walls

No existen fotografías

Y no tenía superpoderes

The Man Who Scaled Walls

Between the mountains and a place
Lived a man by the sea
Where it was said that men never cry
Where thorns were kept in the shadows

And from the battles he fought
There are no photographs
No medals, no trophies, no shelves
Only the wounds he carried

Maybe silence covered him
From everything he felt
No one ever spoke of his pain
In the town, many feared him

And that's how he learned to defend himself from life
One hand with his shield and the other with his family
With hidden battles walking uphill
Trying to teach his kids what life is

He did everything he could
He fought with dragons
At home with a wizard
Who sang
What the heart kept quiet

That man scaled walls without anyone knowing
That man built his home from every dawn
That man took the arrows that came to the door
And looking towards his house where his family was

With arrows in his back and not complaining about the wound
He smiled

With the gaze of a man
With the heart of a child
I won't say he was perfect
He felt fear too

He was also vulnerable
And had no superpowers
But now more than ever
I know he was a superhero

With a strong character, but a joyful soul
He enjoyed his friends, his wife, and his kids
And with an unmistakable laugh
In the town, it was known when he arrived and laughed

And he did everything he could
Deciphering his ghosts
Understanding that wizard who sang
What the heart kept quiet

That man scaled walls without anyone knowing
That man built his home from every dawn
That man took the arrows that came to the door
And looking towards his house where his family was

With arrows in his back and not complaining about the wound
He smiled

That man scaled walls without anyone knowing
That man built his home from every dawn
That man took the arrows that came to the door
And looking towards his house where his family was

With arrows in his back and not complaining about the wound
He smiled
