Jesús es condenado
No, no, que no tenga libertad
como es Pascua,
deja libre al salteador,
Barrabás.
Pilatos ordena entonces
que lo vayan a azotar,
y con corona de espinas
a rey lo coronarán.
Sale de nuevo Pilatos
comunica a los judíos,
"Aquí tenéis a este hombre,
yo no le encuentro delito".
"Crucifícale, crucifícale,
crucifícale, crucifícale".
Vuelve Pilatos a Jesús,
y le dice "¿Qué respondes?
Tú mismo puedes salvarte
o puedes crucificarte".
"Crucifícale, crucifícale,
crucifícale, crucifícale".
Pilatos quiso librar
de la cruz al Nazareno,
a los judíos decía:
"Dejad a este hombre
que es bueno".
"Aquel que se ha dicho rey de los judíos,
es enemigo del César.
Crucíficale y pronto",
gritaban como unas fieras.
"Aquí está vuestro rey,
es el rey de los judíos",
dijo Pilatos en la puerta,
defendiendo al perseguido.
Nada podría salvarlo,
se cumplía la escritura.
Ya va camino al Calvario,
se acerca a la sepultura.
Jesus is Condemned
No, no, let him be free
like it’s Easter,
set the robber free,
Barabbas.
Pilate then orders
that they whip him,
and with a crown of thorns
they’ll crown him as king.
Pilate comes out again
and tells the Jews,
"Here’s this man,
I find no fault in him."
"Crucify him, crucify him,
crucify him, crucify him."
Pilate goes back to Jesus,
and says, "What do you say?
You can save yourself
or you can be crucified."
"Crucify him, crucify him,
crucify him, crucify him."
Pilate wanted to free
the Nazarene from the cross,
telling the Jews:
"Let this man go,
he’s a good guy."
"The one who claims to be king of the Jews
is an enemy of Caesar.
Crucify him, and do it fast,"
they shouted like wild beasts.
"Here’s your king,
it’s the king of the Jews,"
Pilate said at the door,
defending the one being hunted.
Nothing could save him,
the scripture was being fulfilled.
He’s on his way to Calvary,
getting closer to the grave.
