It was a word from Him

Abyss, void and night

He formed the Earth
With His own two hands
Mountains and valleys
At His very command

Demanding a home to appear
A glorious place
Where His own could draw near
The Son said

Then out of dust man took his first breath
Then He raised us and gave us a choice
Life or death

But when the choice was given
Darkness allured me with attraction
I walked straight into a prison
The door was locked at my distraction
I looked away, fell
And mercy responded
With the promise of grace

I'll bring you back to Myself
When the Advocate takes your place

This is My beloved Son
He’ll conquer your keeper with surrender
Like a lover desperate for his love
He’ll fight to free her and defend her, yeah
I see you were compelled
Now yell loud with desperation
He'll take your place in the cell
In the hell of separation

To save a sinning running friend He'd lost
To heal the brokenhearted
And to make things right
