The first noel the angels did say
Was to certain poor shepherds
In fields as they lay,
In fields where they lay
Keeping their sheep
On a cold winter's night
That was so deep.

Born is the king of israel!
They looked up and saw a star
Shining in the east beyond them far,
And to the earth it gave great light,
And so it continued both day and night.

And by the light of that same star
Three wise men came from country far,
To seek for a king was their intent
And to follow the star
Wherever it went.

This star drew nigh to the northwest
Over bethlehem it took its rest
And there it did both stop and stay
Right over the place where Jesus lay.

Within that house the king did lie:
One entered in then for to see,
And found the babe in poverty:

Full reverently upon their knee,
And offered there in his presence
Their gold, and myrrh and frankincense.

Sing praises to our heavenly lord,

And earth of naught
And with his blood
Mankind hath bought.

El Primer Noel
El primer noel los ángeles anunciaron
A ciertos pobres pastores
En los campos donde yacían,
Donde yacían
Cuidando sus ovejas
En una fría noche de invierno
Que era tan profunda.

Ha nacido el rey de Israel!
Miraron hacia arriba y vieron una estrella
Brillando en el este más allá de ellos,
Y a la tierra le dio gran luz,
Y así continuó tanto de día como de noche.

Y por la luz de esa misma estrella
Tres sabios vinieron de lejos,
Para buscar a un rey era su intención
Y seguir la estrella

Esta estrella se acercó al noroeste
Sobre Belén tomó su descanso
Y allí se detuvo y quedó
Justo sobre el lugar donde yacía Jesús.

Entonces supieron con certeza
Dentro de esa casa el rey yacía:
Uno entró entonces para ver,
Y encontró al niño en la pobreza:

Con toda reverencia de rodillas,
Y ofrecieron allí en su presencia
Su oro, mirra e incienso.

Cantemos alabanzas a nuestro señor celestial,
Que ha creado el cielo
