I’m in war with myself and lost
I am so sick of this calm
Fear takes over my chain of thoughts
Climbs the walls of my heart
Staring down the hall
The walls are closing down
The silence seems too deep
I see only emptiness

Spider webs and dust
Cover my wrinkled skin
I can barely feel a thing

But my feet deep into the mud
