No dawn - no dusk - no proper time of day -
No sky - no earthly view -
No distance looking blue -
No road - no street - no "t'other side the way" -
No end to any Row -
No indications where the Crescents go -
No top to any steeple -
No recognitions of familiar people -
No courtesies for showing 'em -
No knowing 'em! -
No travelling at all - no locomotion,
No inkling of the way - no notion -
"No go" - by land or ocean -
No mail - no post -
No news fom any foreign coast -
No Park - no Ring - no afternoon gentility -
No company - no nobility -
No warmth, no cheerfilness, no healthful ease,
No comfortable feel in any member -
No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees,
No fruits, no flow'rs, no leaves, no birds,

Sin sol - sin luna!
Sin mañana - sin mediodía -
Sin amanecer - sin atardecer - sin hora adecuada del día -
Sin cielo - sin vista terrenal -
Sin distancia azulada -
Sin camino - sin calle - sin 'otro lado del camino' -
Sin fin a ninguna fila -
Sin indicaciones de hacia dónde van las Crecientes -
Sin cima a ningún campanario -
Sin reconocimiento de personas familiares -
Sin cortesías para mostrarles -
Sin conocerlas! -
Sin viajar en absoluto - sin locomoción,
Sin la más mínima idea del camino - sin noción -
'No ir' - por tierra o por mar -
Sin correo - sin correo -
Sin noticias de ninguna costa extranjera -
Sin parque - sin anillo - sin gentileza vespertina -
Sin compañía - sin nobleza -
Sin calor, sin alegría, sin comodidad saludable,
Sin sensación reconfortante en ningún miembro -
Sin sombra, sin brillo, sin mariposas, sin abejas,
Sin frutas, sin flores, sin hojas, sin pájaros,
