No Princípio Era o Verbo (João 1 )
1. No princípio era o Verbo,
E o Verbo era Deus,
Por quem fez-se o Universo
Pra cumprir o plano Seu.
E estava Nele a vida,
Que dos homens era a luz;
O "Eu Sou" tão suficiente,
Disponível é Jesus!
O "Eu Sou", o Deus eterno,
Minha rica provisão,
Meu desfrute todo o tempo,
Que satisfação!
2. E o Verbo fez-se carne,
Deus ao homem se mesclou;
O Deus antes nunca visto,
Cristo, o Filho, O revelou.
Eis o divinal Cordeiro,
Que o pecado já tirou;
Sua obra resgatou-me,
Vou segui-Lo aonde for.
3. Uma vez glorificado
Qual Espír'to veio a mim,
Sou por Ele transformado,
Sua casa surge assim.
Grandioso é ver a escada
Que a terra une ao céu;
É Jesus, o meu caminho,
É o templo, é Betel.
In the Beginning Was the Word (John 1)
1. In the beginning was the Word,
And the Word was God,
Through whom the Universe was made
To fulfill His plan.
And in Him was life,
Which was the light of men;
The 'I Am' so sufficient,
Jesus is available!
The 'I Am', the eternal God,
My rich provision,
My enjoyment all the time,
What satisfaction!
2. And the Word became flesh,
God mingled with man;
The God never before seen,
Christ, the Son, revealed Him.
Behold the divine Lamb,
Who has already taken away sin;
His work has redeemed me,
I will follow Him wherever.
3. Once glorified
As Spirit He came to me,
I am transformed by Him,
His house arises thus.
Great it is to see the ladder
That connects earth to heaven;
It is Jesus, my way,
He is the temple, He is Bethel.
