Divine
In dream I dream like Daniel
in color and intense
these dreams I dream of lions
and with alarming frequency
with teeth and nail and steely eye
they rip my flesh take me inside
wherein there bones I now preside

In dreams there are two eagles
with wingspan over nine feet wide
these eagles they see the lions
and with a piercing frequency
one shrieks and rakes his face and eyes
one swoops and comes 'round from behind
with his six inch talons in lion spine
they take him down but I'm still crowned

...and now their bones are all alone
and who should come to claim the throne
but king of carrion, the crow
his darkness grows
as he
licks the skeletons white and gleam
ensnares my soul in shiny beak
where in the black I now preside

En sueños sueño como Daniel
en color e intensidad
estos sueños sueño con leones
y con alarmante frecuencia
con dientes y uñas y ojos de acero
ellos desgarran mi carne me llevan adentro
donde ahora presido entre sus huesos

En sueños hay dos águilas
con una envergadura de más de nueve pies de ancho
estas águilas ven a los leones
y con una frecuencia penetrante
uno grita y araña su cara y ojos
uno se zambulle y viene por detrás
con sus garras de seis pulgadas en la columna del león
ellos lo derriban pero yo sigo coronado

...y ahora sus huesos están solos
y quien debería venir a reclamar el trono
sino el rey de carroña, el cuervo
su oscuridad crece
mientras
lame los esqueletos blancos y relucientes
atrapa mi alma en su pico brillante
donde ahora presido en la oscuridad
