The Fall, The Rise

Ashes of Eden

I held the sky between my ribs
And watched it break in front of me
The silence burned, the angels hid
But in the ashes I could breathe
I fell so far I met the dark
And found a light that wasn't yours
If heaven dies within my heart
Then let me be what rises from the fall

Your shadow carved a home in me
Where every prayer turned into smoke
I begged for wings you couldn't see
I drowned in words we never spoke
But flames reveal what tears conceal
And I was forged beneath the weight
You lost your faith in what was real
But I was learning how to break and recreate

And in the ruin of the sky
I heard a voice that sounded like
You are the storm you try to fight
So burn and rise tonight

This is the fall
The moment heaven let's me go
This is the rise
The fire growing through my bones
If angels break then so will I
But I'll come back with open eyes
I fell apart to realize
I was never meant to stay in heaven's light

This is the fall, this is the rise

You built your throne on brittle truth
And called it love and called me blind
But I survived the loss of you
And found the strength you tried to hide
The scars you left became my name
The cracks you made became my crown
You feared the man I would become
Now watch me rise while heaven drowns

And every piece you tore away
Became the fuel for who I am
If I must crawl through fire again
I'll do it standing at the end

This is the fall
Where all my ghosts are laid to rest
This is the rise
Where I become what's left
If angels bleed then so will I
But I return electrified
I learned to fight
I am the heaven you deny

This is the fall

I walk through every fire alone
Hoping your hands pull me home
But every tear I shed was mine
And every spark became divine

So let the sky collapse again
I'll stand beneath it stronger than I've ever been
I am the echo of your sin
The light that breaks when heaven gives in

Let it fall, let it fall, let it fall, let it fall on me
I will rise, I will rise, I become what I set free
From the ashes, from the cries
From the weight you left behind
I ascend, I redefine
I am the fall, I am the rise

I held the sky between my ribs
And let it break so I could breathe
If heaven falls away from me
Then let me rise in what I choose to be
