Like walking into a dream
So unlike what you've seen
So unsure, but it seems

So how did this come to be?

Als binnenlopen in een droom
Zo anders dan wat je hebt gezien
Zo onzeker, maar het lijkt

Vallen in deze plek
Geeft je een klein voorproefje
Van je hiernamaals, dus blijf
Je komt hier toch snel terug
Ik zie een verre licht
Maar, meisje, dit kan niet kloppen
Zo'n surrealistische plek om te zien
Hoe is dit zo gekomen?
Te vroeg aangekomen
En als ik denk aan alle plekken waar ik gewoon niet hoor
Heb ik vrede met het leven en besef ik dat dit te ver gaat
Ik hoor hier niet thuis, we moeten verder, schat
Ontsnap uit dit hiernamaals
Want deze keer is het goed om door te gaan en verder
Ver weg van hier
Een plek van hoop en geen pijn
Perfecte luchten zonder regen
Kan deze plek verlaten, maar weerhouden

Vallen in deze plek
Geeft je een klein voorproefje
Van je hiernamaals, dus blijf
Je komt hier toch snel terug
Deze vrede op aarde is niet goed (met mijn rug tegen de muur)
Geen pijn of teken van tijd (ik ben veel te jong om te vallen)
Zo misplaatst, wil niet blijven
Ik voel me verkeerd en dat is mijn teken
Ik heb mijn beslissing genomen
Geef me je hand, maar besef dat ik gewoon gedag wil zeggen
Alsjeblieft, begrijp dat ik moet gaan en mijn eigen leven moet voortzetten
Ik hoor hier niet thuis, we moeten verder, schat
Ontsnap uit dit hiernamaals
Want deze keer is het goed om door te gaan en verder
Ver weg van hier
Heb niets tegen jou en ik zal je zeker missen
Deze plek vol vrede en licht
En ik hoop dat je me misschien weer naar binnen laat
Als de tijd rijp is
Dierbaren thuis huilen omdat ze me al missen
Ik bid bij de genade van God dat er iemand luistert
Geef me een kans om die persoon te zijn die ik wil zijn (ik ben ongebroken, ik stikte in deze extase)
Oh, Heer, ik zal zo mijn best doen, maar je moet me loslaten (maak me ongebroken, keten me los, ik heb nodig)
(Een nieuwe kans om te leven)
Ik hoor hier niet thuis, ik moet verder, schat
Deze plek vol vrede en licht
