The Lord of the Canes

Banda Cuisillos de Arturo Macias

El Señor de Las Canas

Nadie sabe cuanto tiempo,
Traía cargando amarguras,
Como recuerdo a mi viejo,
Y sus tantas aventuras.

Se le volvieron sus años,
Y en su rostro una madeja,
Y transformo su sonrisa,
Tan solo por una mueca.

Si encuentras en tu camino,
A un hombre que va llorando,
Dile que a diario en mis rezos,
Su nombre voy pronunciando.

Por señas lleva ojos tristes,
Y herido su corazón,
Es alto y de pelo blanco,
Su mirada es puro amor.

Ese señor de las canas,
En las buenas y en las malas,
Siempre supo responder,
Fue pobre allá en su infancia,
Tubo un poca de ignorancia,
Pero la logro vencer

Si encuentras en tu camino,
A un hombre que va llorando,
Dile que a diario en mis rezos,
Su nombre voy pronunciando.

Fue andador de mil veredas,
Por pueblos y calles viejas,
Donde quedaron su años ,
Donde acabaron sus penas.

The Lord of the Canes

No one knows how long,
He carried bitterness,
As a memory of my old man,
And his many adventures.

His years turned on him,
And on his face a tangle,
And transformed his smile,
Just for a grimace.

If you find on your way,
A man who is crying,
Tell him that daily in my prayers,
I am pronouncing his name.

By signs he carries sad eyes,
And his heart wounded,
He is tall and with white hair,
His gaze is pure love.

That lord of the canes,
In good times and bad,
Always knew how to respond,
He was poor in his childhood,
He had a bit of ignorance,
But he managed to overcome it.

If you find on your way,
A man who is crying,
Tell him that daily in my prayers,
I am pronouncing his name.

He walked a thousand paths,
Through towns and old streets,
Where his years remained,
Where his sorrows ended.
