Oh Lord my God
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
And when I think that God his Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on that cross my burden gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin
When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim my God how great Thou art

Et quand je pense que Dieu, Son Fils, n'a pas épargné
L'a envoyé mourir, j'ai du mal à y croire
Que sur cette croix, mon fardeau portant avec joie
Il a saigné et est mort pour enlever mon péché
Quand le Christ viendra avec un cri d'acclamation
Et me ramènera chez moi, quelle joie remplira mon cœur
Alors je m'inclinerai en humble adoration
Et là je proclamerai mon Dieu comme Tu es grand
