Vi no horizonte azul a tarde desmaiar
E a noite aproximar

I saw the blue horizon fainting in the afternoon

Stealing the twilight light from nature
Alone in my garden, I pondered to see

The candle sailing the vast ocean
Taking my beloved beyond
Then came the longing and I cried
