The Giant

Bronco

El Gigante

Como todas las leyendas
Nacen de una cosa cierta
Y la que hoy les cuento
Si no es de verdad de verdad
Si nos deja una lección de respeto
Hacia la libertad.

Muy cerca de mi pueblo
Un potro libre como el viento
Habita la pradera,
La gente decidió llamarle bronco
Por que no existen riendas
Que detengan su andar.

Su cuerpo deja ver una marca
Que le hicieron con fuego
Se dice que es la marca
De un hombre malo que antes
Fuera su dueño,
Que aunque tenia mil caballos
No vivía satisfecho

The Giant

Like all legends
Born from something true
And the one I tell you today
If it's not really true
It leaves us a lesson of respect
Towards freedom.

Close to my town
A wild colt like the wind
Inhabits the meadow,
People decided to call him bronco
Because there are no reins
To stop his walk.

His body shows a mark
That they made with fire
It is said to be the mark
Of a bad man who once
Was his owner,
Who, even though he had a thousand horses
Was not satisfied
Because it kept him awake to see
The wild bronco colt loose.

And he put chains on bronco
Just to satisfy a whim
Filling the colt with wounds
Forgetting that he was once his friend.

And he put chains on bronco
Just to satisfy a whim
Without thinking that time takes everything
And injustice has its punishment.

Here is where the legend I tell you
Gains strength from what is said,
That bronco, by some strange spell
That no one can explain, became a giant.

With courage and hunger for freedom
He destroyed that paddock,
Freedom that was stolen from him
By the one who marked his body.

And bronco returned to the meadows
He is free to choose his path
And it is said that the wild bronco
Being a giant will be his destiny.

And bronco returned to the meadows
He is free to choose his path
Now he doesn't gallop alone
Today he is closely watched by a friend.

Today he is closely watched, closely by a friend.
