The Bayo White Face

The Bayo White Face

Pepito had a horse, which he just rode
It was a white-faced bay, 7 quarters tall.
Oh, what an animal, he just needed to talk.

José loved that horse, as he adored his god
Every day very early, I bathed him and saddled him.
And the bay, out of pure pleasure, would stop and neigh

From “la arena” to terán, he never lost a race
At what animal demand, he ran like a beast,
From coming to San Juan, I left people in misery

But destiny is very cruel, and there is no one who can resist it.
And he wanted that steed to lose its sight one day
A never ran again, neither on the flat nor on the track.

To get rid of his suffering, José shot him 3 times
This is how it was his turn to die, to the one who in life was lightning
This is the end of the story, of Pepito and his horse
