A vida é como longa caminhada
E desafios temos para enfrentar
Espinhos ferem pedregulhos atrapalham
Diante disto, nós pensamos em parar
Mas se cansados estivermos da jornada
Há um lugar seguro para recorrer
Desanimar não nos ajudará em nada
Mas descansando em Deus poderemos vencer
Há um lugar onde eu encontro alívio
E renovado eu sempre saio de lá
Este lugar é a sombra do onipotente

Life is like a long walk
And challenges we have to face
Thorns hurt, rocks hinder
Faced with this, we think about stopping
But if we are tired of the journey
There is a safe place to turn to
Getting discouraged won't help us at all
But resting in God we can overcome
There is a place where I find relief
And renewed I always come out of there
This place is the shadow of the Almighty

He is my refuge, I can trust
My God delivers me and covers me with His wings
Day or night nothing will reach me
He sends angels to guard my way

For He saved me and gave His life out of love
