Thankful And Glad
I was at the bottom of a pit,
And couldn't crawl out of it.
There was no love in the air.
And I didn't like it there. There was no one else around,
I didn't like what I found.
I tried climbing out but fell,
And figured this must be hell.
I awoke, and I was sitting up in bed
With all I imagined still in my head.
I looked around and found joy
Seeing my wife and little boy.
The dream showed me all I had,
And made me thankful and glad.
If I had counted my blessings,
I wouldn't now be confessing.
The dream helped me to see
All that God had given me.
Sometimes when we need help,
And we're blinded ourselves.
That's when God will intervene,
Showing us what we hadn't seen.
I looked around and found joy
Seeing my wife and little boy.
The dream showed me all I had,
And made me thankful and glad.
Agradecido y contento
Estaba en el fondo de un pozo,
Y no podía salir de él.
No había amor en el aire,
Y no me gustaba estar allí. No había nadie más alrededor,
No me gustaba lo que encontré.
Intenté salir escalando pero caí,
Y pensé que esto debía ser el infierno.
Desperté, y estaba sentado en la cama
Con todo lo que imaginé aún en mi cabeza.
Miré a mi alrededor y encontré alegría
Viendo a mi esposa y mi pequeño hijo.
El sueño me mostró todo lo que tenía,
Y me hizo sentir agradecido y contento.
Si hubiera contado mis bendiciones,
No estaría ahora confesando.
El sueño me ayudó a ver
Todo lo que Dios me había dado.
A veces cuando necesitamos ayuda,
Y estamos cegados nosotros mismos.
Es entonces cuando Dios intervendrá,
Mostrándonos lo que no habíamos visto.
Miré a mi alrededor y encontré alegría
Viendo a mi esposa y mi pequeño hijo.
El sueño me mostró todo lo que tenía,
Y me hizo sentir agradecido y contento.
