The Little Pink Frog

Canticuénticos

La Rana Rosita

Rema que rema la Rana Rosita
Rumbea el río canoa chiquita
Rema que rema la Rana Rosita
Va canturreando una chamarrita

Cuando resuena un ruido muy raro
Y enredado en una red
Ya casi ronco, pidiendo socorro
Se retuerce un pejerrey

Rosita rápido arranca el rescate
Arrima su remo, ya sabe qué hacer
El pejerrey rescatado sonríe
Rosita, radiante, sonríe también

Reman que reman Ramón Pejerrey y la Rana Rosita
Rumbea el río canoa chiquita
Reman que reman Ramón Pejerrey y la Rana Rosita
Van canturreando una chamarrita

Pero Rosita, que nunca se aburre
Ya se escurre a socorrer
A una mojarra que aterrorizada
Zamarrea un espinel

Rosita rápido arranca el rescate
Arrima su remo, ya sabe qué hacer
Desenredada Renata sonríe
Rosita, radiante, sonríe también

Reman que reman Renata Mojarra, Ramón Pejerrey y la Rana Rosita
Rumbea el río canoa chiquita
Reman que reman Renata Mojarra, Ramón Pejerrey y la Rana Rosita
Van canturreando una chamarrita

Corriente arriba recorren el río
¡Qué tranquilo! ¡Ni una red!
Por la barranca los sauces derraman
Sus reflejos al revés

Susurra el agua, ralentan el ritmo
Relucen los remos al rayo del Sol
Les da modorra y remolonean
Respira el remanso rumor de arrorró

The Little Pink Frog

Row, row, the Little Pink Frog
Paddles the river, little canoe
Row, row, the Little Pink Frog
Singing a little tune

When a strange noise echoes around
And tangled in a net
Almost hoarse, calling for help
A fish writhes in a fret

Quickly Rosita springs to the rescue
She grabs her paddle, knows what to do
The rescued fish smiles wide
Rosita beams, smiling too

Row, row, Ramón the Fish and the Little Pink Frog
Paddles the river, little canoe
Row, row, Ramón the Fish and the Little Pink Frog
Singing a little tune

But Rosita, who never gets bored
Slips away to lend a hand
To a scared little fish
Shaking in the sand

Quickly Rosita springs to the rescue
She grabs her paddle, knows what to do
Untangled Renata smiles bright
Rosita beams, smiling too

Row, row, Renata the Fish, Ramón the Fish, and the Little Pink Frog
Paddles the river, little canoe
Row, row, Renata the Fish, Ramón the Fish, and the Little Pink Frog
Singing a little tune

Upstream they travel the river
So calm! Not a net in sight!
By the bank, the willows spill
Their reflections, a lovely sight

The water whispers, slowing the pace
The paddles shine in the sunlight
They get drowsy and take their time
The calm whispers a lullaby.
