Ya son las siete, hay que ponerse en marcha
Con las tareas ya tengo que empezar
Hay que limpiar a fondo toda la casa
Termine, ¿y qué hago yo hasta mañana otra vez?
Un libro ahora leeré o tal vez dos o tres
Y pintaré algo nuevo en mi gran pared
Tocar, luego tejer y después cocinar
¿Cuándo mi vida va a comenzar?
Luego haré puzzles, tirar dardos y galletas
Papel maché, ballet y algo de ajedrez
Alfarería, teatro y hacer velas
Estirar, dibujar, escalar, diseñar
Más libros releeré y el rato pasaré
De nuevo buscaré algún hueco en la pared
Después cepillaré y más cepillaré
Encerrada en el mismo lugar
Y me pregunto, pregunto, pregunto, mi vida, ¿cuándo va a comenzar?
Mañana al fin las luces veré
Y en cada cumpleaños las vuelvo a ver ¿a dónde van? Allí quiero ir
Quizás hoy madre me permita al fin salir

It's already seven o'clock, we have to get going
