I'm so glad she sees it in me
She smiles with every strange remark
And I get sad when folks hide behind what they had
But I'm the one that’s scared of the dark
To be like her is what you fear
And it will never disappear
But you grow stronger every day
I'm having trouble here alone

I got tired of feeling that way
It happens far less frequently now
I would hate when folks would say they can’t relate
But I was hating anyhow
It seems to me that this work may
Just make us sing and dance and say
That we were better off this way

Estoy tan contento de que ella lo vea en mí
