I ain't nothin' but a simple man
They call me a redneck I reckon that I am
But there's things going on
That make me mad down to the core.

We tell our kids to just say no
Then some panty waist judge lets a drug dealer go
Slaps him on the wrist and then he turns him back out on the town.
Now if I had my way with people sellin' dope
I'd take a big tall tree and a short piece of rope
I'd hang 'em up high and let 'em swing 'til the sun goes dow
Well, you know what's wrong with the world today
People done gone and put their Bible's away
They're living by the law of the jungle not the law of the land
The good book says it so I know it's the truth
An eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth

But if I catch somebody breakin in my house
I've got twelve guage shotgun waiting on the other side

For the raping and the killing and the child abuse
And I've got a way to put an end to all that mess

Homme Simple
Je ne suis rien d'autre qu'un homme simple
On m'appelle un plouc, je suppose que c'est vrai
Mais il se passe des choses
Qui me mettent en colère jusqu'au fond de moi.
Je dois bosser comme un fou pour joindre les deux bouts
Il y a des politiciens corrompus et de la criminalité dans la rue
Et je suis plus en colère qu'un fou et je ne vais plus le supporter.
On dit à nos enfants de dire non
Puis un juge à la noix laisse un dealer s'en aller
Il lui donne une tape sur le poignet et le renvoie dans la ville.
Maintenant, si je pouvais faire ce que je veux avec ceux qui vendent de la drogue
Je prendrais un grand arbre et un bout de corde
Je les pendrais haut et les laisserais se balancer jusqu'à ce que le soleil se couche.
Eh bien, tu sais ce qui ne va pas dans le monde aujourd'hui
Les gens ont rangé leur Bible au placard

Tu ferais mieux de faire attention à où tu vas et te souvenir d'où tu viens

Mais si je surprends quelqu'un à entrer chez moi

Alors ne me pousse pas contre ma volonté
Je ne veux pas avoir à me battre avec toi, mais je le ferai sans hésiter
Donc si tu ne veux pas d'ennuis, tu ferais mieux de passer ton chemin.
En ce qui me concerne, il n'y a aucune excuse
Pour le viol, le meurtre et les abus sur les enfants
Et j'ai une solution pour mettre fin à tout ce bazar.
Il suffit de les emmener dans le marais
De les mettre à genoux et de les attacher à une souche
Laisse les serpents, les insectes et les alligators faire le reste.
Tu sais ce qui ne va pas dans le monde aujourd'hui
