overheard drunks
sitting in bars
talking 'bout sex
talking 'bout cars
talking 'bout football
women at lunch
they just keep talking
but don't say much
i'm a product of my environment
my vocabularies like licking the gutter
words that cut so sharp
cuts like a hot knife through butter
not my fault
but then again
schools and teachers were never my friends
nothing's wrong with a little education
but i don't need a new vocation
i'm a product of my environment
things that occur
events take place
that will wipe
the smile right off your face
freeways,trafic,smog,
movies,theatres,
lines of people,
markets and banks
who the hell i'm i supposed to thank??

Escuchando borrachos
sentados en bares
discutiendo sobre sexo
discutiendo sobre autos
discutiendo sobre fútbol
mujeres en el almuerzo
ellos siguen hablando
pero no dicen mucho
Soy producto de mi entorno
mi vocabulario es como lamer la alcantarilla
palabras que cortan tan afiladas
cortan como un cuchillo caliente a través de la mantequilla
No es mi culpa
pero entonces de nuevo
las escuelas y los maestros nunca fueron mis amigos
no hay nada malo con un poco de educación
pero no necesito una nueva vocación

cosas que suceden
eventos que ocurren
que borrarán
la sonrisa de tu rostro
autopistas, tráfico, smog,
películas, teatros,
largas filas de personas,
mercados y bancos
¿a quién diablos se supone que debo agradecer??
