Trapito Colorado

Hace cuatro días que bajates al río
Traías un vestido blanco
Y un trapito Colorado
Enroscado en una mano
Te cubrías con la yompa
Tenias frío venias temblando

Yo la vi de que iba por la costa bajo
Traía un bule en una mano
Y le dije señorita
Deme el bule pa llenarlo
No vaya a ser que se moje
Y le pegue algún catarro

Muchas gracias joven es un caballero
No se hubiera molestado
Me dibujo una sonrisa
Y yo me quede atontado

Red Rag

Four days ago you went down to the river
You were wearing a white dress
And a red rag
Twisted in one hand
You covered yourself with the jacket
You were cold, you were trembling

I saw her walking along the coast
Carrying a bucket in one hand
And I said, miss
Give me the bucket to fill it
So it doesn't get wet
And you catch a cold

Thank you very much, young man, you are a gentleman
You didn't have to bother
She drew a smile for me
And I was left stunned
When she said she gave me
My red rag

Since then I carry her in my thoughts
Because of her, I can't sleep anymore
I look at the red rag
It's like I'm seeing her
The young woman has enchanted me
And I know she loves me

Since then I go to the river to see her
I want to see her soon
I am a man of my word
I will ask her respectfully
If she wants to be my girlfriend?
And I will faithfully be her owner

Four days ago I carry her in my chest
She has me all excited
I still don't know her
And I already feel that I love her
To the one who gave me at the river
The red rag
