Os meninos viram Jesus passar;
Logo O seguiram para proclamar:
“Gloria e Hosana ao Filho de David!”
Um louvor perfeito se ouviu ali.
Vamos exaltar a Jesus, então,
Com os nosso lábios e o coração;
Ó meninos, vamos ao Senhor servir
E a lei perfeita de Deus cumprir.
Eis que entre nós Jesus Cristo está;
Ele, que nos vê, nos abençoará;
As virtudes santas quer nos conceder,
Para que possamos o mal vencer.
Em silencio ouçamos o que dirá
Cristo, o nosso Mestre, que ensinará
A doutrina santa que conduz aos céus;
Ó meninos, vamos amar a Deus.
The Boys Saw Jesus Passing By
The boys saw Jesus passing by;
They soon followed Him to proclaim:
“Glory and Hosanna to the Son of David!”
A perfect praise was heard there.
Let's exalt Jesus, then,
With our lips and our hearts;
O boys, let's serve the Lord
And fulfill God's perfect law.
Behold, among us is Jesus Christ;
He, who sees us, will bless us;
He wants to grant us holy virtues,
So that we can overcome evil.
In silence let us hear what
Christ, our Master, will say
The holy doctrine that leads to heaven;
O boys, let's love God.
