I Saw A Man
Last night I dreamed an angel came he took my hand he called my name
He bade me look the other way I saw a man I heard him say
He said if I be lifted up I'll draw all men to me
He turned and then I saw the nail scared hands that bled for me
I touched the hem of his garment that fell round him there
My life my heart I gave my soul was in his care
(When I awoke) my heart beat so (and in the dark) I saw a glow
It was no dream he turned my way and then I heard my Saviour say
He said if I be lifted up...
Vi a un hombre
Anoche soñé que un ángel venía, tomaba mi mano, llamaba mi nombre
Me ordenó mirar hacia otro lado, vi a un hombre, lo escuché decir
Dijo que si yo fuera levantado, atraería a todos los hombres hacia mí
Se volteó y entonces vi las manos marcadas por los clavos que sangraron por mí
Toqué el borde de su manto que caía a su alrededor
Mi vida, mi corazón, di mi alma estaba bajo su cuidado
(Cuando desperté) mi corazón latía tan fuerte (y en la oscuridad) vi un resplandor
No fue un sueño, él se volteó hacia mí y luego escuché a mi Salvador decir
