And will the great eternal God
On earth establish His abode?
And will He, from His radiant throne,
Accept our temple for His own?
These walls we to Thy honor raise;
Long may they echo with Thy praise;
And Thou, descending, fill the place
With choicest tokens of Thy grace.
Here let the great Redeemer reign,
With all the graces of His train;
While power divine His Word attends,
To conquer foes, and cheer His friends.
And in that great decisive day,
When God the nations shall survey,
May it before the world appear
That crowds were born to glory here.

¿Y el gran Dios eterno
En la tierra establecerá Su morada?
¿Y desde Su trono radiante
Aceptará nuestro templo como propio?
Estas paredes levantamos en Tu honor;
Que por mucho tiempo resuenen con Tu alabanza;
Y Tú, descendiendo, llenes el lugar
Con los más selectos signos de Tu gracia.
Que aquí reine el gran Redentor,
Con todas las gracias de Su séquito;
Mientras el poder divino acompaña Su Palabra,
Para vencer a los enemigos y alegrar a Sus amigos.
Y en ese gran día decisivo,
Cuando Dios examine a las naciones,
Que ante el mundo quede claro
Que multitudes nacieron para la gloria aquí.
