You know the ones with the permanent crease it was me, tarik, taji and my man little d we must've had every color they made we used to wear a close cut before we got a fade we hustled up quarters because they came in handy then ran to the store to buy us plenty candy just to fill up our belly until we got home to make a peanut butter and jelly after sundown some of us were still out but when it got dark we knew it was time to chill out those days, man, do I miss that's why I took the time to reminisce
When I was small I was a video junkie we used to play pin the tail on the donkey oh yeah, and musical chairs but that was only at the birthday affairs we ate ice cream and cake and danced till it was time to break never doin what we supposed to and I was tryin to find a girl to get close to in the winter we built snowmen and stayed soaking wet when it was time to go and we shot cooley, some call it dead rock and watched the flintstones live from bedrock cause back then a car wasn't a big deal we rather ride our skateboards than a big wheel lookin back, man, I truly miss the days of old, that's why I reminisce

[Verso 1: Tarik] el tiempo es como la arena en un reloj de arena recuerdo contando chistes en la parte de atrás de la clase de arte yo era peor que un niño pequeño pero aún así tuve más buenos momentos que jj no queríamos hacer daño, éramos niños divirtiéndonos solíamos hacer cosas como jalar la alarma de incendios y correr ir en misiones y hacer largas caminatas pero eso solo si no estábamos corriendo en nuestras bicicletas solíamos venir del parque a tomar una bola de helado yo y mi grupo, éramos un buen equipo y esos días, realmente los extraño por eso tomé el tiempo para rememorar

Sabes, los que tenían el pliegue permanente era yo, tarik, taji y mi amigo little d debimos haber tenido todos los colores que hicieron solíamos llevar un corte corto antes de raparnos juntábamos monedas porque nos venían bien luego corríamos a la tienda para comprarnos muchos dulces solo para llenar nuestro estómago hasta que llegábamos a casa para hacer un sándwich de mantequilla de maní y jalea después del atardecer algunos de nosotros aún estábamos afuera pero cuando oscurecía sabíamos que era hora de relajarnos esos días, hombre, ¿cómo los extraño? por eso tomé el tiempo para rememorar
Cuando era pequeño era un adicto a los videos solíamos jugar a ponerle la cola al burro oh sí, y sillas musicales pero eso solo era en las fiestas de cumpleaños comíamos helado y pastel y bailábamos hasta que era hora de irnos nunca haciendo lo que se suponía y yo intentaba acercarme a una chica en invierno construíamos muñecos de nieve y nos quedábamos empapados cuando era hora de irnos y jugábamos cooley, algunos lo llaman piedra muerta y veíamos los picapiedra en vivo desde piedradura porque en ese entonces un auto no era gran cosa preferíamos andar en patineta que en un triciclo mirando hacia atrás, hombre, realmente extraño los días de antaño, por eso rememoro
