what one kept you breathing your deepest,
what once kept you alive.
i've seen the pictures, and i've heard the songs,
and you helped build inspirations that we can all learn from - and i just can't figure it out.
what put out that fire? what crushed your spirit?
what's holding you back?
you just smiled sad, and turned your eyes back down.
Now i know i'm not in your shoes right now,
but as a friend i've got advice,
and i know i don't know much man but i know this much is right. i've seen some pictures,
i've heard enough songs-
you should bring them back to life,
maybe they'll help you right what's wrong.
