200 Years of History

200 years have passed since the arrival of the white man
The world has changed and we have adapted to survive
We have lost our land and our traditions have been forgotten
But we still stand strong and resist the changes

200 years have passed and we still remember
Love between us was forbidden and our hearts were broken
At 15, we were forced to leave our homes
Without a doctor to care for our children

Rich men have taken our land and left us with nothing
The old ways are disappearing and our language is fading
Our history is not forgotten even after 200 years
We will continue to fight for our people and our land
