Sonhei que estava andando com o senhor
E através dos céus, passavam cenas da minha vida
Para cada cena que passava
Percebi que eram deixados 2 pares de pegadas na areia
1 era meu, o outro do senhor
Quando a última cena passou diante de nós
Olhei para trás, e percebi que em alguns momentos
Só havia 1 par de pegadas na areia
Isto aconteceu, nos momentos mais difíceis e angustiosos do meu viver

I dreamed I was walking with the Lord
And through the skies, scenes from my life passed by
For each scene that went by
I noticed there were 2 sets of footprints in the sand
One was mine, the other was the Lord's
When the last scene passed before us
I looked back and realized that in some moments
There was only 1 set of footprints in the sand
This happened during the hardest and most painful times of my life

How many times have struggles come to weigh you down
