Los Mil Diamantes
El Distrito Federal, de la colonia Condesa,
se trajeron mil diamantes, para el estado de texas,
eran tres muchachas guapas, en una expedition negra.
Estefany la mas joven, consentida del abuelo,
le dice a Adriana y a Edith, conmigo nunca anda el miedo,
las quince horas de camino, no me han de quitar el sueño.
Diamantes de cortes finos, en valor mucho dinero,
procedencia de Brasil, del mero Río de Janeiro,
eso lo sabían muy bien, estefania y el abuelo.
Por la calle de insurgentes, al sur de chapultepec,
un martes por la mañana, poco antes de amanecer,
reciben las instrucciones, de lo que tenían que hacer.
Cuidado con los retenes, así les decía el viejito,
aunque todo esta arreglado, desde México hasta Missions,
recuerden si alguien los para, que se contacte conmigo.
Cruzaron los mil diamantes, por el puente de Camargo,
platican las tres muchachas, que nunca las molestaron,
es que en el mercado negro, el abuelo esta pesado.
A Thousand Diamonds
The Federal District, from the Condesa neighborhood,
they brought a thousand diamonds, to the state of Texas,
there were three pretty girls, on a black expedition.
Estefany, the youngest, grandpa's favorite,
tells Adriana and Edith, fear never tags along with me,
the fifteen hours on the road, won't take away my sleep.
Diamonds with fine cuts, worth a lot of cash,
from Brazil, straight outta Rio de Janeiro,
their origins were well known, to Estefany and grandpa.
Down Insurgentes street, south of Chapultepec,
a Tuesday morning, just before dawn,
they get the instructions, on what they had to do.
Watch out for the checkpoints, that's what the old man said,
even though everything's set, from Mexico to Missions,

They crossed the thousand diamonds, over the Camargo bridge,
the three girls chat, saying they were never bothered,
it's just that in the black market, grandpa's got some pull.
