The Horse You Rode In On
I think i've read this book before
hardbound shiny cover pretty colors
but an ending that's sure to disappoint
it's not what you'd expect when you open the box
and all the things you wish you'd find
fleeting and taunting
colors drab and ordinary
compared to the brilliant white of not knowing what's inside
but how can i bear to behold that dream now
that my eyes have adjusted to the concrete walls of this box that i've opened
i know i'm more than just a little fucked up but i'm trying to make my way back home

Creo que he leído este libro antes
tapa dura brillante, colores bonitos
pero un final que seguramente decepcionará
no es lo que esperarías al abrir la caja
y todas las cosas que deseas encontrar
fugaces y burlonas
colores apagados y ordinarios
comparados con el brillante blanco de no saber qué hay dentro
pero ¿cómo puedo soportar contemplar ese sueño ahora
que mis ojos se han acostumbrado a las paredes de concreto de esta caja que he abierto
sé que estoy más que un poco jodido pero estoy tratando de encontrar mi camino de regreso a casa
