The Sower and the Reaper

Eliã Oliveira

O Semeador e o Ceifeiro

Semeei a semente, sim na primavera
Reguei-a com lágrima, choro e dor
Mas outro talvez ceifará os frutos
Trazendo com gozo ao Senhor

Vez após vezes, a minha alma sente
Angústia e o choro do semeador

Angústia e choro do semeador

Angústia e choro do semeador

The Sower and the Reaper

I sowed the seed, yes in the spring
I watered it with tears, weeping and pain
But another may reap the fruits
Bringing joy to the Lord

Time after time, my soul feels
Anguish and the tears of the sower
But those who sow as well as those who reap
Will be rewarded by the hands of the Lord

The reaper gathers the fruits with joy
Not always knowing the pain it cost
For those who worked so hard, in sun or rain
And with patience planted the seed

Time after time, my soul feels
Anguish and tears of the sower
But those who sow as well as those who reap
Will be rewarded by the hands of the Lord

Time after time, my soul feels
Anguish and tears of the sower
But those who sow as well as those who reap
Will be rewarded by the hands of the Lord
