Certo dia João Batista, batizava os judeus
E foi quando de repente no Jordão apareceu
Um tão simples carpinteiro
Vindo lá de Nazaré, vendo ele
O coração de João Batista encheu de fé
É que João já sabia que o homem que surgia
Não era homem comum, era o Cristo, o Messias

Quando Natanael foi informado
A Felipe pôs-se a indagar
Estás certo do que estás falando?
Pode alguma coisa boa vir de lá?
E então Felipe respondeu

Ao invés de você questionar, vem e vê

Aquieta o mar e o vento
Multiplica peixe e pão lá no meio do deserto

One day John the Baptist was baptizing the Jews
And suddenly appeared at the Jordan
Such a simple carpenter
Coming from Nazareth, seeing him
John the Baptist's heart filled with faith
