Numa estrada de chão vermelho com minha viola nos braços
Eu caminhava tocando a Lua guiava meus passos
Na curva da Gameleira eu me vi num embaraço
Passava da Meia noite não me lembro bem a hora
O meu corpo arrepiou, coração pulou pra fora
Um homem de capa preta pediu a minha viola
O sujeito foi falando sem levantar a cartola
