Lá na Galileia, bem longe daqui
Um dia ecoou a voz do Galileu
Foi ele mandado para aquele povo
E o povo rebelde não o recebeu
Deste Galileu tão humilde e manso
Profeta Isaías bem antes falou
Que ele viria trazer boas novas
Mas a sua pátria não o aceitou

Hoje tenho luz
Este Galileu veio evangelizar
E anunciar o tempo da salvação
Ele veio dar visão para os cegos
E para os cativos a libertação
Que era o Messias não acreditaram
Porque era pobre e trabalhador
Não teve um lar para seu repouso
Mas da humanidade foi o Redentor

One day the voice of the Galilean rang out
He was sent to that people
But the rebellious crowd didn’t welcome him
This humble and gentle Galilean
The prophet Isaiah spoke of him long before
That he would come to bring good news
But his own hometown didn’t accept him

I heard your voice and I welcomed you
Now I have the light
This Galilean came to spread the word
And announce the time of salvation
He came to give sight to the blind
And freedom to those held captive
They didn’t believe he was the Messiah
Because he was poor and worked with his hands
He had no home to rest his head
But for humanity, he was the Redeemer
