É una vechia storia questa qua
raccotata già tantì anni fa
è uma vecchia storia-ma qualcosa ti dirá...
Erano anche quelli tempi bui
tempi in cui soffiava più che mai
il cattivo vento de um'orrenda malattia.
Fu cosi-che il príncipe penso-di chiudersi nel suo castello
solo com gli amici suoi-fu cosi che lui penso
di rimanere fermo li
fino a che non passerá-quella paura
e tutta quella oscuritá...
Nel castello c'era l'allegria-e si stava bene in compagnia
si mangioava um pò di tutto
si ballava um pó. -E nessuno immaginava mai
che potesse giungere anche lì-il cattivo vento
che alla fine poi entrò ... - Scrivo a te
queste cose che-sono di un passato che
sembra non passare mai-tutto questo scrivo a te
che in um futuro nascerai - e chissàs come sara
se questo vento - avrà lasciato lê città...

Those were also dark times
times when the bad wind blew more than ever
the evil wind of a dreadful disease.
It was like that-the prince thought-of closing himself in his castle
only with his friends-it was like that he thought
to stay still there
until that fear will pass
and all that darkness...
In the castle there was joy-and it was good in company
we ate a little of everything
we danced a little. -And no one ever imagined
that the bad wind could reach there too
which eventually entered... - I write to you
these things that-are from a past that
seems to never pass-all this I write to you
