(Excerpt) It I had control over my heart, I would have chosen none but you,
and would have accepted no other one to be my love.
But my heart desires
the one who is tormenting it
and would accept no blame or reproach.
Muwashshah : Si j'avais le contrôle sur mon cœur
(Extrait) Si j'avais le contrôle sur mon cœur, je n'aurais choisi que toi,
et je n'aurais accepté personne d'autre comme mon amour.
Mais mon cœur désire
celui qui le tourmente
et n'acceptera ni reproche ni blâme.
