the forceps on my chin
was counted out before the fight
Hanging low my cursed head
refused
to rise and breed dead maggots in my grain
burst my dumb egg
shedding
fosaken yoke on my firmament
freeing my tribe of creeping things
leading
them through doors
fit for angel wings
