And Good Day and it has the really exciting songs
It has some more intimate songs
But there's this one detail that's kind of flowing through it
I came across this Billy Graham testimony
Do you remember that?
Is that right, oh absolutely

That was an exciting time
Do you remember what year that was?
Well, it was when we were in Miami
Uh, it probably been in the eighties sometime
I wonder if I could look it up
I don’t know if it, uh yeah
So what did you run into on that
Let's actually see if, uh we can go, 1985

That is crazy, uh
But you know forty years have passed now
And I'm just curious
How much of that statement is true?
Oh, more so than ever
What is life all about?
What's the purpose of it?
Uh, is it just getting things?
And then they get things and then they're not satisfying
And Forrest, not in '92 and '93, and both mom and I
Are not nearly as stable as we used to be
And you look back on your life
And you say, what would I have done different?
And I would tell you I would do more to be related to God
That's the important lesson
And you know we've been up and down
We've, you know I've had good positions
We've had a major financial security, and
We've been able to do almost anything we wanted to do
And you know when I look back
What did all that mean?
You know I've got a boat that's '99, was '96, it sits here
I don’t know whether it'll ever get in the water again
That boat had tremendous memories to it
And I wouldn't trade that for anything
But when you look back
And you think, was that the most important thing that I could have done?
Or should I spend more time, you know
Studying God, and the bible, and-and being more sensitive in that area
And helping others
Well, Forrest there's no question that God has singled you out
To reach out to the younger generation
And I think that that's why God has been really working on you
And it's God anointed
And, but it's got a purpose
It's purpose is to reach that younger generation
And you happen to be that person
Okay, well I am so excited that you called
And gave me an update on what's happening

Nou, het was toen we in Miami waren
Uh, het moet ergens in de jaren tachtig zijn geweest

Dus wat kwam je daar tegen?

Zijn niet meer zo stabiel als we ooit waren
En je kijkt terug op je leven
En je zegt, wat had ik anders kunnen doen?
En ik zou je vertellen dat ik meer zou doen om verbonden te zijn met God
Dat is de belangrijke les
En je weet dat we ups en downs hebben gehad
We hebben, je weet ik heb goede posities gehad
We hebben een grote financiële zekerheid gehad, en
We hebben bijna alles kunnen doen wat we wilden doen
En je weet als ik terugkijk
Wat betekende dat allemaal?
Je weet dat ik een boot heb die '99 is, was '96, hij staat hier
Ik weet niet of hij ooit weer het water in zal gaan
Die boot had geweldige herinneringen
En ik zou dat voor niets willen ruilen
Maar als je terugkijkt
En je denkt, was dat het belangrijkste dat ik had kunnen doen?
Of had ik meer tijd moeten besteden, je weet wel
God bestuderen, en de bijbel, en gevoeliger zijn in dat gebied
En anderen helpen
Nou, Forrest, er is geen twijfel dat God jou heeft uitgekozen
Om contact te maken met de jongere generatie
En ik denk dat dat is waarom God echt aan jou heeft gewerkt
En het is door God gezegend
En, maar het heeft een doel
Het doel is om die jongere generatie te bereiken
En jij bent toevallig die persoon
Oké, nou, ik ben zo enthousiast dat je belde
En me een update gaf over wat er gebeurt
